The IFLA Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe Award is the highest honour that the International Federation of Landscape Architects can bestow upon a landscape architect. The Award recognises a living landscape architect whose lifetime achievements and contributions have had a unique and lasting impact on the welfare of society and the environment and on the promotion of the profession of landscape architecture.The award is bestowed annually on an individual whose work and achievements merit this recognition. The SGJA Secretariat oversee the administration of this prestigious award, including convening the jury.

Gareth Doherty

Director

Gareth is Associate Professor and Director of the MLA program at Harvard Graduate School of Design. Doherty's recent research projects have centered on landscape-related practices at various sites across the postcolonial and Islamic worlds, specifically in the Arabian peninsula, West Africa, and Latin America and the Caribbean.


 

Diana Wiesner

Bogotá-based activist, a leader in socio-ecological issues, architect, and designer renowned for her designs in urban ecology and landscape. Her design work has been awarded and distinguished in several national and international biennials of architecture and landscape architecture. She also works as a committed citizen in the processes of management of the natural system of Bogota. This endeavor has sought to undertake citizen action and consensus on the vision for the city and its landscape. She leads Children's Node of the Latin American Landscape Initiative. Diana was the jury chair of the Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe International Prize from 2019-2022.

Reem Alissa

Reem Alissa is trained as an architect, landscape architect, urban designer and urban historian. She is an Assistant Professor at Kuwait University and previously taught at the University of British Columbia. She also worked at SOM’s offices in New York and Washington D.C., and the landscape architecture firm van der Zalm and Associates in Vancouver.
