Peter Zöch studied Landscape Architecture in Vienna and Manchester, as well as Communication Management at Danube University Krems. From 2000 to 2015 he was an editor of Topos – The International Review of Landscape Architecture and Urban Design, and Garten + Landschaft, the German landscape architecture magazine. After working as Director Communications of the internationally renowned lighting design office Bartenbach from 2015 to 2018, Peter joined Snøhetta’s studio in Innsbruck, where he oversees communications and business development. Peter has also been working as a university lecturer and as a freelance author and curator in the fields of landscape architecture, architecture and urban design. Peter served as a member of the Nominations Committee as well as a member of the Jury for the IFLA Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe Award in Landscape Architecture
Is a landscape architect from Chile, Principal in charge of Landscape Architecture of URBE Architects & Planners. Head designer of a wide range of large parks, urban public spaces , community parks and environmental projects. Teaches Urban Design studio at University of Desarrollo, Chile. Member of IFLA since 2007, past member or SGJA Nominations committee, Past President of ICHAP and currently IFLA´s Chilean Delegate.
The Founder of F O L K , Inc. based in Tokyo. Yoshiki earned a Master in Landscape Architecture from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. His academic appointments include Visiting Lecturer at the University of Tokyo, Chiba University, Japan Women's University, and Waseda University.
Architect, Landscape Architect with a postgraduate three-year Interfaculty Specialization in Garden Architecture and Landscape Design, and Ph.D in Landscape Architecture, Anna Lambertini is associate professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Florence, Department of Architecture, where she is currently director of the Master Degree Program in Landscape Architecture and scientific coordinator of the Research Unit Exploring for Landscape Architecture. She is board member of the PhD program in Sustainability and Innovation in Urban Design at UNIFI and board member of the biennial MSc in Landscape Design, UNIFI.
Anna teaches also Concept Ville et Paysage at the EuroMed University of Fés (Morocco).
Since 1995 until 2016, she held her professional office based in Florence, working on landscape planning, urban design, landscape architecture, open space and garden design, restoration of historical sites.
Since 2016 she is editor-in-chief of the scientific journal Architettura del Paesaggio published by AIAPP/Associazione Italiana di Architettura del Paesaggio (the italian chapter of the International Federation of Landscape Architects). Since 2016 she is member of the scientific committee of the Fondazione Benetton Studi Ricerche of Treviso, an international research centre promoting documentation, research, experimentation activities in the field of landscapes and gardens.
She has been invited speaker at a wide range of national and international conferences and congress and she has extensively gived lectures and seminars at a range of Italian and International Universities.
Anna Lambertini’s research and teaching focus on the intersections between landscape architecture, garden art, and urban design.
Her recent research interests are mainly focused on the everyday landscapes, in particular with reference to the following issues: urban natures; the relationship between social practices and sites transformation; open spaces system design, management, and planning; the playscape; the relationship between infastructures and landscape dimension.
She has published many papers, articles, and books.
Nayla Al-Akl is Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture and Dean of Student Affairs at the American University of Beirut. She is co-founder and administrative member of the Lebanese Landscape Association (LELA).
Nayla has worked on a number of landscape architecture, planning and urban design projects in the Middle East, the US and China. Her research interests lie in the relationship between humans and their environments and the interface of nature/culture/society.
Nayla’s most recent work looks at the role of urban landscapes, including university campuses and urban cemeteries, for the promotion of social inclusion, human wellbeing and ecological health.
Nayla holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the American University of Beirut and a Masters of Landscape Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
Arthur is primarily driven by a passion for sketching, and especially urban sketching from life. He uses this passion to capture the invisible social cultural building blocks of Nairobi’s Urban Structure. The lessons learnt have helped him navigate the three extremes in his professional life. Supporting the transformation of unsafe and under-used sites into “Productive public spaces” with KDI and teaching a Landscape Engineering Studio at JKUAT and working with a large corporate real estate developer, Centum RE, where he drove the planning and design of their affordable housing projects.
Arthur has been a Principal Partner at Lexicon + ion, in Nairobi Kenya in charge of Master Planning, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design working with external teams to ensure projects are launched on firm planning principals, uphold environmental sustainability, and are situated in well-designed landscapes. He was a Director of Projects and Technical, at Centum Real Estate (Centum RE), and drove the planning and design of their affordable housing projects and mixed-use developments. He previously worked with The HOK Planning Group in Washington DC and EDSA Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he was involved in several large master planning and urban design projects in Tunisia, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Arthur holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from University of Nairobi, a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from The Harvard University Graduate School of Design where he was awarded the Norman T. Newton Prize, for landscape architecture student whose work best exemplifies achievement in design expression as realized in any medium and the ASLA Certificate of Honor for demonstrating a high degree of academic scholarship and of accomplishment in skills related to the art and technology of landscape architecture. He is a Registered Architect in Kenya, a LEED Accredited Professional and is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and Architectural Association of Kenya.
