IFLA and the Circular Cities Summit
IFLA recently participated in the Circular Cities Summit 2.0 in Dubai, where experts united to craft a unified vision for circular and resilient urban environments. With over 200 participants, discussions focused on enhancing urban resilience through biomorphic urbanism, and nature regeneration, aimed at improving urban health and creating therapeutic environments.
A key focus of the summit was the collaborative development of a roadmap for circular city innovation, with panel discussions involving representatives from diverse organizations. Experts emphasized the importance of air quality and nature-positive cityscapes for urban health and social sustainability in circular city initiatives.
We welcomed four new members to the Circular Cities Network:
International Society for Urban Health (ISUH), International Association of Horticultural Producers - AIPH, World Green Infrastructure Network - WGIN, and the Society of Sustainability and Green Materials (SSGM).
Together, we’re driving the future of cities through innovation and collaboration.
