Following up on the World Council decision in Nairobi, I'm excited to report that the IFLA Corporate Governance Review Working Group (IFLA CGRWG) is now in full swing. Our profession faces exciting challenges and opportunities, and this review presents a unique opportunity for YOU to ensure that IFLA remains a robust voice for landscape architects worldwide. Imagine an IFLA that’s even more effective, more responsive, and more impactful on the global stage. Your participation will help us achieve that goal, ensuring IFLA better serves you and advances our profession globally.

Why Review Our Governance Structure?

The world is changing, and IFLA needs to evolve with it. While our current structure has served us well for many years, it is not optimised to tackle the emerging challenges and opportunities facing landscape architecture. By critically examining how we govern ourselves, we can identify areas for improvement and ensure IFLA is best positioned to serve its members and the profession in the coming years.

How Can You Get Involved?

Your voice matters! We're committed to an open and inclusive review process, and your participation is essential. Here are two key ways you can make a difference:

  • Complete the Scoping Survey: A comprehensive survey has been launched and will be live until 22 April 2024. We urge anyone who has an interest in IFLA to participate The survey is anonymous and only takes 20 minutes to complete.   • Join an Information Session: We’ll host a series of information sessions via Zoom across different time zones. These three sessions will provide an in-depth look at the review process, answer your questions, and offer an opportunity for open discussion. What Can You Expect from the Information Sessions?
