Jala Makhzoumi elected as IFLA Vice President
Jala Makhzoumi, Interim President of the IFLA Middle East Region has been elected by IFLA ExCo as the IFLA Vice President for this coming year.
IFLA President Bruno Marques said “We're thrilled with the appointment of Jala Makhzoumi as the next Vice President of the International Federation of Landscape Architects. This will enable Jala's visionary leadership to propel our fast-growing Middle East region into a focal point of sustainable design, cultivating landscapes that echo the region's rich heritage and embrace a harmonious future. I'm delighted to work alongside Jala, together with the rest of our executive team, to keep moving IFLA forward, evolving and adapting to address the needs of our members and the global challenges we face.
Jala replaces Graham Young, IFLA Africa President whose one year team has come to an end, at a recent meeting IFLA ExCo thanked Graham for all his hard work and dedication in the role.
