Mnazi Mmoja Park- Uhuru Monument (Freedom) fenced in- public open space in the CBD of Dar es Salaam. Fenced off with restricted access, citizens are only allowed inside on Independence Day for celebrations. Every other day the park lies empty as people outside the park go about their business almost in ignorance to its existence (Denver Smith 2019 A PLACE TO LNGER- Larval Landscapes -Unit15X GSA- UJ ).
