African Landscape Network
The African Landscape Network (ALN) comprises two online interactive maps showing individuals working on issues regarding the landscape, and projects involving the landscape on the African continent.
The project was initiated by IFLA Africa and developed with ICOMOS Africa, through a grant from UNESCO.
A Landscape architect or allied professional working in Africa are welcome to enter one or more of their projects.
Participants don't have to be a landscape architect (architects, archaeologists, urban designers, planners, heritage professionals etc are all welcome). The essential criterion is that they work in the field of landscape, and the projects/sites/landscapes entered into the network should illustrate principles of sustainable development that uphold the principles of the African Landscape Convention.
Here is a video outlining the project.
