2019 Taiwan Landscape Awards
The 2019 Taiwan Landscape Awards was hold by CTLAS / IFLA Taiwan on December 28, 2019 in Nishi Hongan Temple Shu-xin Hall, Taipei. This year we received 76 entry projects in 7 categories. There were more than 300 participants from landscape architecture and related professions joining the award ceremony. CTLAS especially would like to thank the central and south branches in Taiwan for helping the event promotion works. The award ceremony specially invited the honorable guests including, Deputy Director of Construction and Planning Agency, Mr. Chi-Ming Chen, Chief secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Mr. Teng-Chin Chen, Deputy Director of Water Resources Agency, Mr. Hua-Ping Tsao, Professor Qin-Rong Lin from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences NCTU, and the Mayor of Keelung City, Mr. Yu-Chang Lin. Through organizing Taiwan Landscape Awards, CTLAS encouraged the design and planning teams that provide great contribution improving the environmental quality in Taiwan. The event enhances the understanding of Taiwan landscape architecture profession and its value. CTLAS will also help these excellent works to submit the international awards including IFLA AAPME Awards and IFLA APR LA Awards, and expect the attendance would bring a stronger connection between Taiwan and the international professional communities. The awards ceremony also has projects sharing section, which allow these professional teams to exchange and share their design ideas and implementation experiences.
